Gov. Phil Murphy will head to Germany this weekend to discuss the 2026 men’s soccer World Cup, set to be held in New Jersey.
Murphy, a former U.S. ambassador to Germany, will arrive in Berlin on Saturday to participate in a roundtable with sports reporters covering the 2025 UEFA Euro tournament final, Natalie Hamilton, a spokeswoman for the governor’s office told NJ Advance Media.
The governor will also participate in a roundtable discussion at the Munich Security Conference, an international security forum.
