It's worth noting that the Big Ten announced every conference game as a Saturday kickoff, but some games will be moved to Friday for some programs. FOX began a Friday night package in 2024, which is expected to continue in 2025. Most of the league’s schools can appear in up to one home game and one road game on Fridays each year, but the date for those announcements is unknown.
Minnesota's Week 13 game against Northwestern will be played at Wrigley Field. The Wildcats are still in the process of building a new stadium, but that game will be played at the Chicago Cubs' home ballpark, instead of Northwestern's temporary field near Lake Michigan.
All five of the Gophers' away games will have interesting narratives. A nonconference game at Cal, a rivalry game against Iowa, two marquee conference games against Ohio State and Oregon, and then finally a game against Northwestern at a baseball stadium. As for marquee home games, the schedule is a bit lacking. Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Michigan State are the biggest names who will come to Minneapolis this season.
