And that’s all for now! Thank you very much for listening. Good morning and see you next time!
New Zealand returns to the field on Monday (18), when they visit Samoa. Vanuatu plays on the same day, visiting Tahiti.
With the exception of the goal conceded, New Zealand gave Vanuatu no chance in today’s game, winning by an incredible 8-1, with goals from Garbett, Wood (2), Bindon (2), Just, Singh and McCowatt, while Tasip scored a goal!
Waine, at the edge of the area, managed a low shot and hit the left post!
Singh came down the left and crossed powerfully for McCowatt to hit and make it 8-1 on the scoreboard!
New Zealand changes: Garbett is out and Gillion is in.
In a BEAUTIFUL exchange of passes, all first time, Garbett found SIngh inside the area to shoot across goal, high up, with no chance of defense, scoring New Zealand’s seventh goal!
Change in Vanuatu: Tasip left and Kaltack entered.
In the exchange of passes, Waine managed to shoot, but sent the ball into Sablan’s hands.
Changes in New Zealand: Just and Wood are out, followed by McCowatt and Waine.
Just, at the edge of the area, received the pass, took off and invaded the area to hit a cross and send the ball into the back of the goal in the right corner!
Cacace managed to get the one-two on the left and crossed for Wood to deflect and send the ball wide!
With the pass in front, Clark managed to touch it and the defense cleared it on the line. On the rebound, Wood headed the cross into the left corner and Sablan palmed it away!
Change in Vanuatu: Cooper and Boulet left for Kalo and Ruben.
Changes in New Zealand: Stamenic and Rogerson left for Bells and Singh.
Vanuatu tries to create danger and pressure, but still without finishing. And it starts to rain!
Just, from the left, invaded the area and tried to touch the ball over the goalkeeper, but sent the ball over the goal.
In the exchange of passes, Spockeyjack set up Clark, who hit it hard into the left corner, but Crocombe palmed it away!
And confirming that Vanuatu made two changes at half-time: Tangis and Vatu left for Saniel and Kalo to come in.
The players return to the pitch and the ball rolls for the second half of the match!
With two from Bindon, two from Wood and one from Garbett, New Zealand beat Vanutatu and practically decided the game in the first half, with the score at 5-1, with Tasip scoring the only goal.
Cacace kicked hard at the edge of the area and sent the ball into the middle of the goal, into Sablan’s hands.
We will have six more minutes of added time in the first half.
On the cross from the left, the defense cleared it poorly, twice in a row, with Tasso clearing it on the line to save Vanuatu from a sixth goal!
On the right, New Zealand had the free kick, crossed by Cacace into the area for Bindon to head the ball into the left corner, with Australia’s fifth goal!
From the cross into the area, Wood went high and headed the ball powerfully, sending it to the left of the goal! And Tasso got a yellow card for a foul in the middle of the field.
On the left, Australia had a corner kick, which was taken by the defense and cleared by a powerful header down the middle, made by Boxall, who saved it on the line. From the next corner kick taken in the area, the defense cleared it and the ball fell to Garbett, who shot low, for Bindon to deflect and send the ball into the goal!
Wood received the pass up front and shot wide, but he was offside and the play was disallowed.
And as the game started, Garrett stole the ball and went down the goal line, crossing for Wood to appear at the far post, alone, sending the ball into the goal!
Rogerson received the pass inside the box and struck a powerful shot, with Sablan palming it over the goal. The corner was taken into the box, where Wood appeared alone to head in and put New Zealand ahead once again!
And after conceding the equalizer, New Zealand regains possession and puts pressure on the attacking field.
Tasip received the pass on the right and invaded the area to cross, but he applied too much force and sent the ball into the goal, into the right corner, lobbing the goalkeeper and turning a misplaced cross into the equalizer!
After a mistake by Vanuatu, the ball fell to Garbett at the edge of the area, who fired a powerful shot into the right corner to open the scoring!
As expected, New Zealand maintains possession and tries to create danger by exchanging passes and attacking from the sides.
Roux, on the right, received the pass and went to the byline, crossing for Wood to head the ball to the right of the goal.
The players take to the pitch and the ball rolls for the first half of the match!
The players leave the pitch to finish warming up and then return to play the ball.
