The first season for the Tulsa girl’s flag football league ended Tuesday night.
The season kicked off with 10 high school teams in October.
Former NFL star and founding partner Donald Driver presented the championship trophy.
Both players and coaches said it’s special to be part of state history.
“It’s really cool as a player to know you’re doing one of the first things in Oklahoma history and one of the first things, it’s a new program, so it’s really cool to be a part of history,” Edison High School senior quarterback Molly Merrill said.
Teams say they’re already looking forward to playing again next season.
