Georgia Voll scored a century in just her second ODI appearance for Australia.
Voll made 101 to help Australia defeat India by 122 runs in the second ODI in Brisbane.
Australia and India meet in the third and final ODI in Perth on Wednesday.
Georgia Voll's first ODI century has illustrated depth is not a problem for Australia as it edges closer to next year's World Cup in India.
Voll, playing just her second ODI, smashed 101 from just 87 deliveries to help Australia post a convincing 122-run win over India in the second match of the ODI series at Brisbane's Allan Border Field on Sunday.
Handed a chance for this series due to captain Alyssa Healy being sidelined with injury, 21-year-old Voll made 46 not out in her ODI debut in Australia's five-wicket victory against the tourists on Thursday.
Australia will defend its World Cup title next year and Voll has given selectors much to think about nine months out from the tournament.
Her performances impressed player-of-the-match Ellyse Perry, who shared a 92-run partnership with the Queenslander on her way to scoring 105 on Sunday.
"For Georgia to make the most of the chance that she's got off a really good Big Bash (WBBL) season is great, and I think everyone enjoyed watching that today," Perry said.
A record-breaking knock by Ellyse Perry and Georgia Voll's maiden international hundred have lifted Australia to a comprehensive 122-run victory over India in the second women's ODI in Brisbane.
"That's all you can ask of any player: to continue to push everyone around them and play the best they can and make the most of any opportunity they get.
"What we're really trying to do is just encourage everyone to make the most of any opportunity they get and if they are able to seize that, rewards come, whether it's straight away or down the track.
"In Georgia's case, she's firmly put herself in the mind of the team and selectors going forward."
Voll and Phoebe Litchfield had given Australia a blistering start to the second ODI, compiling an opening stand of 130 runs.
In the recently completed WBBL, Voll — playing for Sydney Thunder — made 330 runs from 12 innings, with a highest score of 97 not out.
The final match of the Australia-India ODI series will be played at the WACA in Perth on Wednesday.
