FSU womens soccer vs Stanford: How to watch NCAA national championship – Tallahassee Democrat

Just one more to go for the Florida State women’s soccer team.
FSU plays Stanford tonight in the College Cup to close out the NCAA tournament. The winner will be crowned national champion.
The Seminoles (21-0-1) are the No. 1 overall seed and have won all but one game this season, a 3-3 tie against North Carolina on Sept. 24. Led by coach Brian Pensky, FSU has not allowed a goal throughout the NCAA tournament, beating Morehead State 5-0, Texas A&M 1-0, Texas 5-0 and Pitt 3-0 before blanking Clemson 2-0 in Friday’s semifinal. A school-record five players were named All-Americans, led by first-team forwards Onyi Echegini (15 goals) and Jordynn Dudley (13).
The second-seeded Cardinal (20-0-4) also haven’t lost all season. Stanford, who leads the nation with a .413 goals against average, has let in just one goal on its path to the national championship. Coach Melissa Charloe’s team beat Pepperdine 3-0, South Carolina 3-0, Mississippi State 1-0, Nebraska 2-1 in overtime and top-seeded BYU 2-0 on Friday. First-team All-America midfielder Jasmine Aikey leads the team with 11 goals and 11 assists.

Both teams are playing for its fourth national championship. FSU won it all in 2014, 2018 and 2021, while Stanford won the title in 2011, 2017 and 2019. Monday’s match will be the first time two undefeated teams face off for the NCAA women’s soccer championship.

The Florida State vs. Stanford national championship game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Monday, December 4 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.
FSU-Stanford will air on ESPNU. Jenn Hildreth will be on the play-by-play with Lori Lindsey as analyst and Marion Crowder as sideline reporter.
