The Florida State Seminoles have a top 20 recruiting class in the country and they are still working to add some key pieces. One of their top targets is three-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown, who is from Warner Robins, Georgia.
Brown was originally committed to UCF but opened up his recruitment when Gus Malzahn left to become FSU’s offensive coordinator. The Seminoles quickly got involved in his recruitment, offering him a scholarship in December, and have now emerged as the favorite to land him.
Earlier in the week Anna Adams of 247Sports logged a crystal ball in their favor and she has been joined by another expert. Michael Langston, who covers FSU’s recruiting for On3, placed a prediction in FSU’s favor on Thursday.
Brown is ranked as the No. 418 overall player and No. 27 offensive tackle in the On3’s industry ranking. He is also the No. 57 player from Georgia.
It would be massive for FSU to land Brown, he is one of the top unsigned players in the country. The 6-foot-7, 235-pounder is the second-best available offensive tackle, behind five-star Ty Haywood, another FSU target.
The Seminoles have two offensive linemen in their 2025 signing class, four-star Mario Nash Jr. and three-star Sean Poret. Adding Brown would give them a true tackle prospect, something they have been looking for.
