LOS ANGELES – Following two weeks of incredible competition and before the Fourth of Jully soccer fireworks commence on FOX, FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for this summer’s UEFA EURO 2024™ and CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, today presents broadcaster match assignments for the next knockout round of the tournaments.
The CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ Quarterfinals kick off tomorrow, Thursday, July 4, on FOX with Lionel Messi starring in prime time when defending tournament champion Argentina battles Ecuador. Heralded play-by-play announcer John Strong and former U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) star and lead analyst Stu Holden return as FOX Sports’ lead broadcast team to call the match with reporter Jenny Taft joining them in stadium in Houston. Live coverage begins with COPA TONIGHT at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. The Strong – Holden pairing will also call the Uruguay vs. Brazil match, Saturday, July 6, on FS1.
Veteran voice JP Dellacamera and National Soccer Hall of Famer Cobi Jones round out FOX Sports’ CONMEBOL Copa América™ broadcast teams. Dellacamera and Jones will call Venezuela vs. Canada, Friday, July 5, on FS1, while Keith Costigan pairs with Jones to call Colombia vs. Panama, Saturday, July 6, on FS1.
On Friday, July 5, and Saturday, July 6, the UEFA EURO 2024™ Quarterfinals take center stage on FOX with back-to-back doubleheader match days. Celebrated commentator Ian Darke and USMNT icon Landon Donovan anchor the call for the Quarterfinal showdown between England and Switzerland on Saturday with live coverage starting at 11:00 AM ET with EURO TODAY on FOX. Reporter Geoff Shreeves will join Darke and Donovan in stadium.
Play-by-play announcer Derek Rae, former England National Team goalkeeper Robert Green and Shreeves cover Spain vs. Germany on Friday, while play-by-play announcer Darren Fletcher, former England National Team midfielder Owen Hargreaves and reporter Tom Rinaldi cover France vs. Portugal on Friday and Netherlands vs. Türkiye on Saturday.
