Former Alabama football player Isaiah Buggs arrested again in Tuscaloosa – WBRC

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – Former Alabama football star Isaiah Buggs was arrested again in Tuscaloosa Sunday, according to records from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officer Stephanie Taylor, TDP responded to the 1600 Block of Mimosa Park following a 911 call at 5:28 a.m. Buggs was arrested at the scene on charges of second-degree domestic violence and second-degree assault.
He was transported to Tuscaloosa County Jail where he will be held on a 24-hour domestic violence hold and a $5,000 bond.
Buggs was previously booked on charges of animal cruelty in May after two malnourished dogs were found at a rental place in Tuscaloosa after he had had moved out. One of the animals had to be euthanized. Buggs turned himself in to the Tuscaloosa police before bonding out a short time later.
Investigators say Buggs was behind over $3,100 in rent on the home and was served a notice of termination on the lease in April according to court records. Buggs denied the allegations, saying the dogs did not belong to him and that he was unaware they were in the house.
TSCO confirmed Buggs‘ arrest Sunday but have not released any more information.
According to officer Taylor, court documents are expected to be made available Monday.
