CASTLEFORD, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A local football coach is out on bail after being arrested for attempted strangulation.
Brian Lowry, 41, is the head football coach, athletic director, business instructor, as well as the gifted/talented coordinator at Castleford High School.
Lowry was arrested on Saturday, October 27th and posted a surety bond of $25,000.
Twin Falls County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a welfare check of a woman walking down a country road in Castleford late at night.
According to court documents, the woman wasn’t wearing a coat or shoes and allegedly had a red mark around her throat and neck.
The woman told authorities they had gotten into a fight and he was choking her.
She allegedly kicked Lowry and clawed him until she broke free and ran down the road, headed to a friend’s home.
Lowry is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on November 27th.
