The first round of the 2024 Florida high school football playoffs is (more or less) in the books!
The FHSAA regular season was extended a week to account for makeup games after hurricanes Helene and Milton. It led to some repeat matchups from last week to this week’s regional quarterfinals from Miami and Tampa to Orlando and Jacksonville.
Top recruits and key rivals squared off starting Thursday night. Flagler Palm Coast took on Spruce Creek, Calvary Christian hosted Berkeley Prep, and Florida High battled undefeated Marianna. Plus, championship games took place in the SSAA.
