We now know who’s headed to Pitbull Stadium for the Florida high school football state championship games.
The winners of tonight’s FHSAA state semifinals will meet in Miami for a series of seven title games between Wednesday and Saturday. We have one two champs already after Madison County played Hawthorne in the Rural division and Fort Meade took on Dixie County for the Rural Florida Invitation Tournament crown.
There were great matchups across the state Friday night. Columbus, the two-time reigning champions, faced off against Venice, the top-ranked team in the state. Five-time reigning champ St. Thomas Aquinas hit the road to play Manatee. And Cardinal Mooney-Cocoa pitted two reigning champions against each other.
