Flamingos set new record at U17 World Cup – SCORE NIGERIA

The high-flying Flamingos are setting new records at the on-going FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup with the latest being part of highest attended national team game in the Dominican Republic.

The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup match between Dominican Republic and Nigeria sees a record crowd of 13,535, resulting in the highest attended football match for any Dominican Republic National Team. 👏🇩🇴#U17WWC pic.twitter.com/WKVbkcylOq
Wednesday’s final Group A match between the host country the Dominican Republic and the Flamingos attracted 13,535 spectators, according to FIFA.
The Flamingos needed a late goal by Shakirat Moshood to beat the host country and qualify for the quarterfinal of the U17 Women’s World Cup.
On Saturday, the Nigerian girls will battle their USA counterparts for a place in the semifinal of the World Cup.
