The FIFA World Cup 2026 match schedule has been revealed, and where to get tickets has become top of mind for many people wanting to get their shot at seeing the greatest soccer stars in the world.
FIFA revealed the schedule on Feb. 5, which showed that the finals of the World Cup will take place in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area at MetLife Stadium, home to the NFL franchises New York Giants and New York Jets. That match is scheduled for July 19, 2026.
The opening match of the World Cup will be held at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on June 11, 2026.
Toronto, Mexico City and Los Angeles will host the opening matches of their respective national team, and the United States national team will be guaranteed to play their three group-stage matches on home soil as they’ll play their opening matches in Seattle, Washington.
Miami, Florida will host the bronze final, while Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia will host the semifinals. Nine matches will be played in Dallas, the most of any host city in the FIFA World Cup.
Tickets are technically not available yet.
In order to get tickets, you first need to “register your interest in tickets” on FIFA’s website. You fill out a form that asks for your first and last name along with your email address and preferred language.
Once you complete the short form, you’ll then be met with a window that says your interest is noted and that FIFA will contact you “in due course.”
When we filled out the form, we didn’t get a confirmation email or an email about the next steps for applying. On their website, FIFA states that they will keep people who have registered up to date with the latest news and information.
