FIFA teams with Rocket League for esports World Cup – GoNintendo

A Rocket League of their own
The Rocket League Championship Series took place yesterday, and things were capped off with the reveal of a major collaboration in the works.
Pysonix announced that they have partnered with FIFA for the FIFAe World Cup featuring Rocket League. This event will include 16 countries, with each country being represented by three players and one substitute. Countries are being chosen by the number of players involved in previous Rocket League Major events.
EA ended its long-running partnership with FIFA, which leaves the organization open to working with other companies. The FIFAe World Cup featuring Rocket League marks the first tournament FIFA has put together since they parted ways with EA in 2022.
