FIFA Releases 2026 World Cup Match Schedule In Houston – Secret Houston

Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026, the organization has released its preliminary match schedule to discover which World Cup games will be played in Houston and elsewhere in North America.

Though we’re still two years away, we could not be more excited for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Houston. Back in June 2022, FIFA selected Houston as one of the 16 host cities throughout Canada, Mexico, and the USA to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup games. In total, there will be 104 games played between 48 teams across North America.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Thursday, June 11, in 2026, with a match played at Estadio Azteca Mexico City in Mexico.
2026 FIFA World Cup matches will be played in 16 cities across North America. US host cities include: Houston, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, New Jersey, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
Houston is slated to host seven of the 2026 World Cup matches at NRG Stadium. Five group matches as well as two knockout round games will take place in Houston every three days beginning Sunday, June 14, up until a knockout round game on July 4th! For dedicated World Cup fans, Dallas will host a semi-final match on Tuesday, July 14, at the AT&T Stadium.
Sunday, June 14: Match 10 – Group E
Wednesday, June 17: Match 23 – Group K
Saturday, June 20: Match 35 – Group F
Tuesday, June 23: Match 47 – Group K
Friday, June 26: Match 65 – Group H
Monday, June 29: Group C winners v Group F runners-up
Saturday, July 4: Winner match 73 v Winner match 75
If you recall, Dallas was initially (and heavily) rumored to host the World Cup final. Ultimately, and unfortunately for those of us in Texas, the 2026 World Cup final will be held on Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
