We’re two years out from the 2026 World Cup, but FIFA has already released a preliminary schedule. Here’s a look ahead at the matches coming to SoFi Stadium.

Excitement is already building among local soccer fans in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup reaching local soil in 2026. Lucky for us, FIFA has already put out a match schedule, so we know exactly when to mark our calendars for the games happening at SoFi Stadium. The U.S., Canada, and Mexico will host the event together, with 104 matches spread across sixteen major North American cities.
SoFi Stadium is one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the world, with the ability to hold 70,000 to 100,000 attendees.
After the opening match in Mexico City, Los Angeles will host eight matches during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ at SoFi Stadium, including the highly anticipated U.S. Men’s National Team opening match, along with four additional Group Stage matches, two Round of 32 knockout matches, and one Quarterfinal match.
Tickets for FIFA World Cup matches will be available through the official FIFA website. Fans are encouraged to register for updates with FIFA, or with SoFi Stadium itself for suite options.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will take place in 16 cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, including Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, Dallas, San Francisco Bay Area, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Philadelphia, Boston, Kansas City, Toronto, Vancouver, Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.
California will be a hotspot for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, so it’s worth keeping an eye on updates for the SF Bay Area, too. Six matches will go down at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, five of which are Group Stage Matches, and the last of which will be a Round of 32 Knockout Match.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final will take place on July 19, 2026 at New York’s MetLife Stadium.
