Exciting news for Bay Area soccer fans: FIFA just released the schedule for the 2026 World Cup games at Levi’s Stadium. The United States hasn’t hosted a FIFA World Cup since 1994, so the 2026 tournament is a rare opportunity for fans to watch the games in their home states.
The SF Bay Area is set to host a total of 6 games at Levi’s Stadium, along with 10 other cities in the states, including Los Angeles. The Santa Clara stadium has hosted many major sporting events and is home to the 49ers.

The highly anticipated tournament only happens every 4 years, drawing international teams for the epic competition. The 2026 World Cup will include 104 matches with 48 teams competing. The matches are scheduled across three countries, the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with the final scheduled for the New York, New Jersey Stadium.
The first World Cup match is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, in Mexico City.
The championship match is scheduled for July 19, 2026 at MetLife Stadium.
Aside from San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle will also host matches. LA has 8 games scheduled, while Seattle has 6 scheduled.
