FIFAe World Cup 2024 is almost upon its, and it seems that FIFA will feature Konami’s eFootball in the competition.
There will be two eFootball competitions at the FIFAe World Cup 2024: a 2v2 competition for consoles and a 1v1 competition for the mobile category. The competition will feature participants from 18 countries across the globe. Interested players can join the qualifiers, which begin today. Additional details are accessible on Konami’s website.
The FIFAe World Cup is the official esports competition hosted by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). Until 2023, EA’s FIFA game series was the main attraction of the competition. However, both organizations ended their partnership last year, leading to Konami’s eFootball taking EA’s place at the FIFAe World Cup in 2024.

Konami could potentially be replaced too at the FIFAe World Cup once FIFA creates its own football simulation game. FIFA’s President, Gianni Infantino, has already announced they are collaborating with new partners to develop a new ‘e-game’ under the FIFA brand. Take-Two Interactive’s 2K Sports could likely be the chosen partner.
