FIFA lets KC2026 sell World Cup sponsorship packages for local businesses – Kansas City Business Journal

KC2026 has packages for businesses interested in becoming a local host city sponsor for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will bring six games to KC.
Leadership of KC2026 has much to accomplish before hosting matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and now it has a way for the business community to help fund those efforts by buying sponsorship packages.
It’s the first time FIFA has allowed host cities to sell local sponsorships for the World Cup. KC2026 is the planning organization for the games.
“This is an unprecedented way for companies in our region to associate their brands with the most watched competition in the world,” KC2026 CEO Pam Kramer said in a release. “Soccer is the world’s most popular sport, and as the Soccer Capital of America, we are excited for companies to leverage Kansas City’s unique FIFA World Cup Host City mark throughout the Midwest.”
Sponsors who acquire Host City Supporter rights are allowed to use the Host City Supporter logo, have an option to activate at FIFA Fan Festival, get access to tickets and official FIFA hospitality events, and have an option to buy a suite before the general public. KC2026 can sell 10 of these packages.
KC2026 also can sell an unlimited number of Host City Champions packages, which include tickets and hospitality event access, an option for early-access suite purchase and name recognition on the KC2026 website and at KC2026 events. They do not get access to the Host City Supporter logo.
“Our Host City Supporters and Champions are critical to our ability to maximize the opportunity presented by the FIFA World Cup 2026 for our region,” KC2026 board President Karen Daniel said in the release. “The funding we generate through these efforts will allow us to create programs to showcase the region on a global stage and create sustained and long-term impact in our communities.”
The packages are being sold exclusively by Integrity 9, a Kansas City-based company that partnered with KC2026 to lead sales outreach. Organizations interested in becoming Host City Sponsors or Champions should contact Wes Engram at kc2026@integritynine.com for pricing and additional details.
Kansas City is one of 15 host cities for the 2026 World Cup. It will host four games during the tournament’s group stage on June 16, 20, 25 and 27. It will host one match in the knockout round on July 3, and GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium also will have a coveted World Cup quarterfinal match on July 11. FIFA estimates that the Kansas City area will host about 650,000 visitors during the World Cup.
