Manchester City and Chelsea have been handed their pot placement ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup draw on Thursday.
The draw for the expanded 32-team Club World Cup will be held in Miami on Thursday at 6pm GMT.
The tournament, which includes teams from all six continental confederations, will be held in the United States and will run from June 15 to July 13 next year.
City and Chelsea secured their place in next summer’s competition as they won the Champions League in 2023 and 2021.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been placed in Pot 1 alongside Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Flamengo, Palmeiras, River Plate and Fluminense.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are in Pot 2 with Borussia Dortmund, Inter, Porto, Atletico Madrid, Benfica, Juventus and Red Bull Salzburg.

Pot 3 includes Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal, South Korean champions Ulsan HD, Egyptian champions Al Ahly, Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca, Mexican sides Monterrey and Leon, Boca Juniors and Botafogo.
In Pot 4, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami are included alongside fellow Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders, Urawa Red Diamonds, Al-Ain, Hope of Tunis, Mamelodi Sundowns, Pachuca and Auckland City.
The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four teams. The teams in each group play each other once and the top two teams from each group progress to the knockout stage of the competition.
FIFA has confirmed that that no group can feature more than one team from the same confederation, with the exception of UEFA clubs. Four of the eight groups will feature two European teams.
Inter Miami will play in the opening match of the tournament at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 15, 2025.
Clubs have already been warned by FIFA that they must take their strongest squads to the tournament.
