The Rattlers win was their second consecutive win, moving them to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the SWAC.
FAMU quarterback Daniel Richardson completed 25 of 32 passes for 267 yards, five touchdowns, against two interceptions.
FAMU’s 52-point output was its first time scoring that much since having the same amount against Delaware State on Nov. 2, 2019.
The Rattlers travel to Prairie View A&M for a Week 11 SWAC game next Saturday.
Texas Southern has put together two scoring drives in three minutes.
Texas Southern quarterback Jace Wilson has completed two touchdown passes to Donald McKinney.
FAMU had other plans, though. Rattlers returner Robert Lockhart took a kick to the house for 91 yards.
Texas Southern immediately responded with a 90-yard kick return by Chaunzavia Lewis.

Jeremiah Pruitte has reached the endzone for the first time this season, catching a 17-yard pass from Daniel Richardson.
Pruitte, a tight end, has four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown on the season.
Pruitte was on the Senior Bowl watchlist this preseason.

The Rattlers got the ball and had a 12-play, 70-yard scoring drive, finished by a touchdown pass from quarterback Daniel Richardson to receiver Quan Lee.
Richardson went a perfect six for six on the drive for 40 yards on the drive.
FAMU running back Kelvin Dean Jr. rushed three times for 21 yards.

The 2024 Rattlers are led by quarterback Daniel Richardson, a grad student who transferred from Florida Atlantic who is fourth in the SWAC with 1,183 passing yards. FAMU has seven preseason All-SWAC selections: offensive lineman Ashton Grable, defensive backs Kendall Bohler and Deco Wilson and kicker Cameron Gillis on the first team, and running back Kelvin Dean, receiver Jamari Gassett and defensive lineman Allen Smith on the second team.
The 2024 Tigers are led by quarterbacks Jace Wilson and Jordan Davis. Running back Quintell Quinn is eighth in the SWAC with 393 rushing yards. TSU has XX preseason All-SWAC players: linebacker Jacob Williams (first team); Wilson, offensive lineman Medhi Torrence, defensive lineman Michael Akins and defensive back Javius Williams (second team).
