Highlights of the England vs USA T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight match played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The five consecutive sixes off Harmeet Singh got England 32 runs from the over which is the joint-third most in a T20 World Cup match.

T20 World Cup 2024: Jos Buttler and Phil Salt made little work of the 116-run target, completing the chase inside 10 overs.
Shadley. Salt gives the strike to Buttler on the first ball. Buttler takes a single as well. Buttler hits the winning runs. Cuts the ball past backward point for four. England finishes the chase in 9.4 overs.
Harmeet is back. Salt takes a single on the first ball. Buttler comes down the track and slaps the ball over long off for a SIX. He goes on the leg side on the next ball for same result. And another one! This time hits straight. FOUR SIXES IN A ROW! On the leg side and Buttler goes again. BUTTLER HITS FIVE SIXES IN A ROW! Ball is out of the stadium Absolutely brilliant hitting this. 32 runs from the over.
Shadley van Schalkwyk into the attack. Salt drives straight and gets a boundary. Those gentle seam up deliveries won’t trouble him. Eight runs from the over.
Ali Khan. Three runs off the first two balls. England is in a hurry. Five runs in three balls. Both batters have been busy in this over in running between the wickets. 10 runs from the over.
Kenjige again. Buttler takes a single on the first ball. Now Buttler dances down the track again, lofts straight, fielder in the deep tries to catch it but can’t reach and ends up misfielding it as well. FOUR. Follows it up with another four, this time reverse.
Ali Khan. And a very poor delivery to begin with. Too far down the leg, beats the keeper as well. Five wides. Buttler comes down the track against him as well and finds another boundary in the mid on region. Salt takes a double pushing the ball towards deep square leg. End the over with a four. Crunched the ball past cover.
Kenjige into the attack. Buttler charges him as well and lofts straight to get a four. A rather quiet over overall. Seven from the over.
Netravalkar comes around the wicket. Buttler charges, lofts over mid off and gets a double. Width on offer and Buttler drives it towards cover for four! SIXXX! This time Buttler comes down the track and sends the ball straight outside the stadium. Beautiful and a powerful hit. Another lofted hit lands in the stands. Superb hit. 19 runs off the over.
Harmeet Singh from the other end. Starts off with a wide. Buttler takes a single on the third ball. A quiet start from both teams.
Saurabh Netravalkar with the new ball. Phil Salt takes a single on the first ball. Bowling cross-seam and is asking questions to Jos Buttler. Buttler only gets off the mark on the fifth ball with a single. Just two runs from the over.

ANOTHER WICKET! Kenjige is plumb in front of the wicket. He goes for a futile DRS but there was never any doubt over that.

Jordan on a hattrick. BOWLED HIM! Jordan has his hattrick, Saurabh Netravalkar goes for a golden duck.
Curran for his second over. DROPPED! Harmeet tries to loft a full toss over covers, Moeen Ali fails to grab it and the batter gets two runs. FOUR! Harmeet dances down the track and picks it up over covers again, this time without any half chance for England. SIX! Shuffles across and pulls over long on, just about beats the diving fielder. OUT! Harmeet hits the a full toss straight into the hands of long off.

Jordan to Corey, pulls and the ball lands just short of the square leg fielder, one run. Harmeet pulls the next to pocket another single. Corey hits to long off and with the single USA goes past 100 runs. Harmeet beaten on the fourth and fifth deliveries of the over. He charges down on the final but is able to get just one run.
Jofra Archer back into the attack from around the wicket. Harmeet on strike. FOUR! A push through covers which beats the fielder and is too wide for the man in the deep to cut off. Archer follows it up with a yorker, no run. Harmeet misses a pull shot on the fourth. He hits the fifth to long on for a single. Corey gets a single through point on the final delivery.
Adil Rashid back to complete his spell. A wide down leg side. Corey flicks the first to deep mid wicket for one. Harmeet Singh tries to nudge the second through the on side, misses. He punches the fourth off his backfoot to deep square. Just three runs off the over.
Livingstone for his final over. SIX! Corey switch hits this wide delivery over third man. A welcome boundary for USA after 34 balls. Two runs next with a chipped flick over mid wicket. Corey with a reverse sweep, cannot cleanly hit. Corey slaps the fifth to long off, it is hit with power but Jordan cuts it off to keep it down to one. GONE! Milind rocks back looking to pull, ends up top-edging to the keeper.
Milind Kumar c Buttler b Livingstone 4 (6)
Chris Jordan for his first over. Milind cuts the first to third man for a single. Corey waits for the slower ball to get to him, taps to point and gets a single. A subsequent overthrow allows another run. Corey jabs the fourth to long on for a single. Milind pulls the next to deep square leg, another single. Corey drives to long off on the last ball to make it six runs off the over.
Livingstone to Corey, defends the first delivery. The second is straighter and Corey defends again. Corey swipes the third off his backfoot to long on for just a single. Milind tries to cut but gets an under edge, no run. Milind gets onto his front foot and drives to long off for one. Corey ends the over with a couple down the ground.
Adil Rashid to continue. Nitish knocks the first through mid wicket for a single. Corey hits the delivery on the full through the on side for another run. A googly to Nitish, rapped on the pads but it is angling too far down leg. BOWLED HIM! Another googly as Nitish misses his slog and sees his stumps rearranged.

Milind Kumar is off the mark with a soft-handed tap to point. Corey punches the final delivery off his back foot for another single, making it four runs off the over.
Livingstone again. Nitish lofts, doesn’t time it well but it lands safely over the cover fielder and the batters take a single. Four singles in four balls. USA not finding boundaries. Six runs in that over.
Rashid for his second. OUT! Googly and Jones didn’t read it. He goes for a slog, misses it and the ball crashes into the stumps.
Corey Anderson in at five. Sweeps fine on the first ball and gets a double. A single to end the over.
Liam Livingstone. First with his leg spin for the right hander. Jones gets an outside edge and it goes for four! Tries to attack but is beaten again. Turn and good bounce so far.
Adil Rashid. Two runs off the first three balls. Jones gets an inside edge almost chops it on to the stumps. Isn’t able to read Rashid off the hand. Two singles off that over.
Sam Curran into the attack. Wide outside off, Taylor slashes, gets a thick outside edge and goes past short fine for four. OUT! Pulls his length back, Taylor goes for slap but is caught nicely by the backward point. The fielder had to dive towards left.
Aaron Jones is the new man in. He’s off the mark with a four. Opens the face of the bat off a fuller delivery outside off. Nice shot. Ends the PowerPlay with a quick single.
Topley for his third over. Nitish goes over mid on and gets a boundary. Full ball lofted with perfection. He goes again in the similar region and gets an even better result, SIX! Superb striking this. He runs a double on the fifth ball. 13 runs from the over.
Archer. Nitish begins the over with a double and follows it up with three dot balls. Bouncer, Nitish goes for a pull, gets a top edge and it goes for a SIX! Eight runs from the over.
Topley again. Nitish is off the mark with a beautiful cover drive and gets a double. A single on the fourth ball. Good fielding there by the fielder at mid off to save a four. Half-volley and Taylor drives over mid off for four! Nice shot. Seven runs from the over.
Jofra Archer from the other end. Starts off with a half-hearted appeal against Taylor for LBW but its pitching outside leg. Three dot balls. Taylor wanted to sneak a run but the fielder at point was quick and had he hit the stumps Taylor was gone by a mile. Taylor finally manages to time the ball and runs a double on the last ball of the over.
Reece Topley to open the bowling. Outswinger for left-hander Taylor, gets a thick outside edge towards deep third for a single. Inswinger for right-hander Gous, a leading edge but lands safe of the cover fielder and the batters run a double. Topley bowls one that holds its line and goes just past the outside edge. On the pads, and Gous flicks it over short fine leg fielder and gets a SIX. OUT! Similar ball, similar shot, this time the ball goes towards deep square leg and the fielder at the boundary takes a comfortable catch.
Done with national anthems. US openers – Steven Taylor and Andries Gous – are out in the middle. An important game for both teams especially England.

Jos Buttler: We will bowl first. It will be tacky to start, that’s the reason to bowl. Everyone’s good and getting ready, has been a quick turnaround. USA have played some tough cricket. We know what we have to do. I think the boys have bowled well, hopefully today’s the day. Jordan comes in for Wood.
Aaron Jones: Wanted to bowl first as well. We are going to go hard, it’s a good wicket. We are going to play fearless cricket like always. We need to be more disciplined in batting and bowling. Same team as the last game.
