EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) – College football is knocking on the door in a few short months and the Hornets have their opponents lined up.
For the first time in school history they will play a full 11 game schedule that includes a bye week. They will have six total home games with the first game being the Turnpike Tussle against Washburn at Emporia on Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
According to ESU Athletics, this is the first Turnpike Tussle under the lights since 1998. This will also be the first Week 0 game for the Hornets.

The Hornets are 18-6 over the last two seasons, the second-best record in the MIAA over that time.
