Nebraska football will now have three new coordinators when the 2025 football season begins.
Head coach Matt Rhule has parted ways with special teams coordinator Ed Foley, Nebraska athletics confirmed with KETV.
This comes after a season full of special teams blunders including in the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 28. where the Huskers had a punt and extra point blocked, leading to nine Boston College points, keeping the Eagles in the game.
Nebraska won 20-15, finishing the season 7-6.
After the game Rhule called for a “complete and total overhaul” of special teams.
In 13 games last season, Nebraska opponents blocked four punts and 3 field goals.
Rhule previously replaced offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield with Dana Holgorsen and defensive coordinator Tony White, who left for Florida State, with John Butler.
