Syracuse, N.Y. — The East Syracuse Minoa girls soccer team’s season for the record books slammed shut on Saturday with a loss to Section II’s Columbia 3-1 in the state Class AA quarterfinals.
It was the first loss of the season for No. 8 state-ranked ESM (17-1-2). The Spartans were surging off a Section III title that followed finals losses the last three years.
