The wait is almost over! EA Sports College Football 25 is set to release on Friday, July 19. 247Sports is proud to be the exclusive media group to get early access to playing the game. To make sure fans are ready for the launch of EA College Football 25, we’re previewing some of the top teams in the video game, including the NC State Wolfpack.
PackPride team expert Cory Smith has you covered with a Q&A session to get you ready to play with NC State in College Football 25. Cory will pinpoint everything you need to know about the Wolfpack roster, from impact players to choosing the best offensive and defensive playbooks, and highlighting key games on the 2024 football schedule. Additionally, Cory will provide insights on how NC State is preparing for the upcoming season and what strategies will help the Wolfpack compete at the highest level in college football.
Kevin Concepcion is the player I can’t wait to see when the game is released. After a breakout freshman year that led to him being named ACC Freshman of the Year and earning Freshman All-American honors by CBS Sports/247Sports, Concepcion will likely be one of the best wideouts in the entire game this season.”
“Offensively, the obvious ones are Concepcion — who should be the highest-rated player for the Wolfpack — along with quarterback Grayson McCall and running back Jordan Waters. On defense, Davin Vann should be a force at the EDGE position for NC State while Aydan White is an All-ACC cornerback for the Wolfpack.”
“This is tough because Tennessee and Clemson are enticing, but the Clemson game could decide the ACC early in the season. The Wolfpack has never won in Death Valley under Dave Doeren, but getting that monkey off his back could pay huge dividends this fall and shake up the entire conference in September.”
“I would go all-in this year and try to reach the ACC Championship and College Football Playoff. This team has the makings of a true contender already this season, so one successful year could go a long way toward building through high school and transfer portal recruiting in the coming years.”
“I’m going with a stick route with the fake handoff to Jordan Waters to free up Justin Joly or Kevin Concepcion for a huge gain. Then try hitting Noah Rogers or Dacari Collins over the top on a bomb to see just how good they made the outside receivers.”
247Sports’ Bud Elliott, also of the Cover3 podcast, had this to say about the NC State Wolfpack in the game.
“You’ll take charge with quarterback Grayson McCall, directing a potent offense that features his dual-threat ability to pass and run effectively. Receivers Kevin Concepcion and Noah Rogers are interesting targets! The Wolfpack’s defense will showcase its tenacity and skill, led by playmakers who excel at disrupting opposing offenses and forcing turnovers.”
In 2013, Bud created the Blue Chip Ratio — a breakdown of programs that have done well enough on the recruiting trail to actually win the College Football Playoff. You will be able to see Bud’s ratio in the game.
