This is a special week for college football and gamers alike. 
After 11 long years, EA Sports College Football 25 is set to release this week. Fans can play with their favorite university, recruit, build a program and create the next star to win the Heisman Trophy.
EA Sports College Football’s release date is set for Friday, but those who purchased the deluxe version or have an EA Play membership can access the game a few days prior, enhancing the anticipation for its official launch. Here are the details regarding the release schedule:
Those who preordered the deluxe edition of EA Sports College Football 25, bought the MVP bundle with Madden 25, or have EA Play early access will be able to play the game on Monday, July 15. The standard version will be available to play on Friday, July 19.
For those able to play the game on Monday, it will be available to play at 4 p.m. ET. For those that have to wait until Friday, it will be released at 12 a.m. ET.
EA Play is available for a $5.99 monthly membership and has game trials for select new release games.
EA Sports College Football 25 will be released on Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S. PC gamers won’t have access to the game, at least not on release. There is no word from EA Sports on if a PC port is in development.
134 Football Bowl Subdivision schools will be included in the game.
More than 11,000 players have accepted an offer to be in the game.
EA Sports provided FBS players with a minimum of $600 and a copy of the game in exchange for their likeness rights. Additionally, the company offered certain players name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals to promote the game through an ambassador program.

The official cover of College Football 25 was revealed Thursday, featuring Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards.
The athletes were rated 92 overall, 95 overall and 91 overall, respectively. 
Eager fans who have waited over a decade to share their excitement to finally build the college football dynasty they have been dreaming of are almost here.
