EA College Football 25
There are no 99-overall players in EA College Football 25, at least not at launch. EA revealed the Top 100 players in the game on Wednesday, and three players topped their peers with 96-overall ratings.
Michigan Wolverines cornerback Will Johnson, LSU left tackle Will Campbell, and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II will be the highest-rated players at launch.
Here is a look at the entire Top 100.
Ohio State and Alabama have the most players in the Top 100. The Buckeyes have a game-high nine, while the Crimson Tide boast 6. Interestingly enough, the consensus No. 1 team in the game, the Georgia Bulldogs, also has six players.
Gordon II leads the position with the most representation. There are 14 running backs in the Top 100. Perhaps the 2025 NFL Draft will be a huge one for running backs, which also means there is liable to be at least a handful of undrafted players at the position who make an impact on the next level.
Nine quarterbacks are in the Top 100. Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders and Bulldogs signal-caller lead the way at 93 overall.
While the list is exciting, as has become the norm with EA College Football 25, some critical unanswered questions remain.
Will player ratings be updated through the season?
The page on EA’s website is structured like Madden’s player ratings screen each year, but there is no way to filter for future weeks.
Does that mean the ratings won’t change each week, or will they be added post-launch? If updating college player ratings is part of the plan, it will be a significant ask for someone on EA’s side.
We’ll find out if it’s in the game shortly. EA College Football 25 releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 19. It hits early access for customers who pre-ordered the game on July 16.
