Soccer fans will soon find out which teams will be playing at TQL Stadium in the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup in 2025.
The Club World Cup is similar to its more famous World Cup counterpart, but instead of countries, it features individual soccer clubs competing from around the world.
The tournament, which will be played at various stadiums across the United States, is set to kick off on June 15, 2025 and end on July 13, 2025.
In September, Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium was named as one of the 12 venues that will host games in the tournament.
It is still unknown which particular games will be played at TQL Stadium and what dates they will be scheduled for, though a draw has been scheduled for Dec. 5 that could provide more details.
Unfortunately for Cincinnati soccer fans, FC Cincinnati will not participate in the event, with MLS counterpart Inter Miami and Lionel Messi drawing the host nation’s slot. The Seattle Sounders also gained inclusion to the tournament for their performance in the 2022 Concacaf Champions Cup.
December’s draw, which will be conducted as a live studio event, will be held in Miami and be broadcast on FIFA.com, FIFA+ and supporting channels.
