BRONX, N.Y. – After leading the Rams to an undefeated week with results against two of the Atlantic 10’s top programs, Daniel D’Ippolito was named the NCAA Men’s Soccer Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Already tabbed the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week and a member of the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week, D’Ippolito earned his latest national honor on the heels of two stellar outings for the Rams.
Last Wednesday against Saint Louis, D’Ippolito helped the Rams erase an early 2-0 deficit, assisting on the team’s opening goal in the 52nd minute before equalizing on a penalty kick in the 89th minute.
Three days later at Dayton, D’Ippolito scored once and assisted on two other goals in the Rams’ 4-2 win over the defending A-10 champs who entered the game ranked 18th in the TopDrawerSoccer national poll.
On the season, D’Ippolito has eight goals and six assists, the former of which ranks 19th nationally and the latter of which ranks 25th in Division I.  His 22 points are tied for 10th in the country.
Through just 12 games, D’Ippolito has notched more goals than any Fordham player since Jannik Loebe scored nine times in 23 appearances during the NCAA Quarterfinalist season of 2017.  His six assists are the most by a Ram since Max Rogers registered seven in 2021.
On Thursday morning, TopDrawerSoccer released its Midseason Top 100 list with D’Ippolito ranking 49th among all players in the country.
D’Ippolito and the Rams will return to action on Saturday when they host George Washington at Moglia Stadium.  Kick-off is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
