Louisville football has picked up another transfer for next season, and he’s the cousin of an NFL star.
Defensive end Demon Clowney, the cousin of 2014 No. 1 pick Jadeveon Clowney, has committed to the Cardinals, according to 247Sports.
Clowney is a redshirt junior coming from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
During the 2024 season with Charlotte, Clowney racked up 14 solo tackles, 12 assists and two sacks. He had similar stats during the 2023 season, totaling 13 solo tackles, 20 assists, and 2.5 sacks.
The 6-foot-4 defensive end had his season high in 2024 against Memphis, with four tackles against the Tigers. He also had three tackles and an assist against Indiana.
Earlier this month, former USC quarterback Miller Moss announced his commitment to play for Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals next season.
