The Croatian national football team ranks 12th in the latest FIFA rankings.
A poor performance at the Euro has impacted the team’s ranking, causing them to drop out of the top ten in the FIFA rankings for the first time since 2022.
Croatia have been overtaken by Italy, as well as Colombia and Uruguay, who reached the semi-finals of the Copa America. The ranking is very important because it will be used to determine the seeding groups for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, and the draw will take place in December.
It is still unknown whether UEFA will determine the seeding groups based on the FIFA rankings or the Nations League rankings. According to the FIFA rankings, Croatia would be eighth among the national teams from Europe.
