KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The Criminal Court ordered the release of the former Kuwait Football Association president, his deputy, and the Secretary-General on bail of 1,000 dinars each. The case, which centers on accusations of mismanagement during the Kuwait-Iraq match at Jaber Stadium as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, has been postponed until November 25. The Public Prosecution had detained the defendants for 21 days on charges of compromising national interests, spreading false news, and risking diplomatic relations, which also led to the resignation of the Association’s board members.
