Behind senior Addison Cooper’s game-winning goal, the College Station girls soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 victory over Nolan Catholic at Cougar Stadium on Thursday.
Cooper’s goal came early in the second half and put College Station up 2-1.
Nolan Catholic had scored first as the Lady Vikings got on the board with 15 minutes left in the first half. College Station (1-0) tied things up just before the half as Sophia Bonarrigo’s left footed strike made it 1-1.
The Lady Cougars next host Class 6A Rock Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
