Georgia football is riding as high as they've been this sesaon after knocking off No. 1 Texas on Saturday. The Bulldogs have soared to No. 2 in the AP Poll and also are seemingly everyone's favorite to win the SEC and National Championship this season now.
But that doesn't mean the rest of the season will be easy.
Kirby Smart and his Georgia team still have five games left in their regular season. While some of these games will be somewhat easy, others will be difficult. So where should our confidence level be at for each game reamaining in the regular season for Georgia?
For this exercise we are going to break each game down individually and place them into one of five categories as defined below:
Likely Win
Lean Win
50/50
Lean Loss
Likely Loss
Let's jump right in, beginning with Georgia's rivalry game after their bye week.
Next up for Georgia this season after their bye week is their annual neutral site game against Florida. This game always has a lot of juice to it, but unfortunately Florida is a little down this season which takes away from the game some.
The Gators are 4-3 and on a bye this week as well, so they will be well rested for this matchup too. Florida is also coming off two more than solid performances after an overtime loss at Tennessee and a 48-20 victory over Kentucky. So there likely will be a little belief from the Gators that they can hang with Georgia.
The Gators have also lost their starting quarterback Graham Mertz for the season which initially seemed like a big blow. However, they apparently did just fine without him against Kentucky (a lot better than Georgia I might add).
But Kentucky's defense does not compare to the Bulldogs' defense, who are seemingly hitting their stride at this point in the season. So I think the Gators will really struggle against a rested and healthy Georgia defense, and Carson Beck and the offense will be motivated to play a lot better the rest of the season.
So let's put Florida in the Likely Win category for now.
