TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — No. 14 Clemson football handled Florida State on Saturday, winning 29-13 at Doak Campbell Stadium.
The Tigers’ win wasn’t like their previous three, defeating their opponents by 21 points or more. It resembled a chess match, focusing on not giving FSU the ball to win in a hostile environment. Still, Clemson (4-1, 3-0 ACC) outgained FSU (1-5, 1-4) 500-250 to secure their fourth straight win and third consecutive conference victory.
Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik threw for two touchdowns, and freshman kicker Nolan Hauser went 4-for-6 to lift the Tigers. Defensively, Clemson recorded one turnover and two sacks.
Clemson will face Wake Forest (2-3, 1-1) on the road next Saturday (noon ET, ESPN) at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Clemson running back Phil Mafah gashed FSU for a 59-yard run to get the team in the red zone. But yet again, the offense’s drive stalled, forcing the freshman to kick again. He knocked down a 31-yard attempt to extend Clemson’s lead.
Glenn led a 15-play, 74-yard drive to give FSU hope as the game dwindles. He threw a 12-yard touchdown to Ja’Khi Douglas in the end zone, but the offense failed to convert on the two-point conversion to make it an eight-point game.
