Chris Armstrong most recently represented Penguins President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas during his 2023 negotiations with his previous employer, the Maple Leafs. The NHL Players Association reportedly reviewed Armstrong’s relationship with Dubas based on concerns about a potential conflict of interest given that Wasserman also represents many NHL players. It’s unclear what, if any, determination the union made about whether Wasserman violated its certified agent regulations.
