Former Ghana international Charles Sampson has been named the new head coach of the Ghana’s U-20 female side, the Black Princesses.
Sampson takes over the job from Yussif Basigi who was in charge of the Black Princesses for the last FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The 44-year-old comes in as head coach after his stint as one of the assistant coaches of the Black Queens.
Sampson began his coaching career with Assyriska United Girls U15 side after quitting football before managing Swedish Women’s League side Telge United FC.
The former Ghana U-20 player will also be joined by Fiifi Parker Hanson who is the head coach of Golden Kicks while Anita Wiredu maintains her position as the other assistant coach.
The technical team’s immediate assignment is to lead the team for the upcoming 2025 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifiers.
