The wait and anticipation is finally over.
The first look at what the new 12-team College Football Playoff field may look like has arrived, as the first CFP rankings will be released in just an hour — and the Big Ten conference is expected to have a key presence in them.
Oregon, who has been No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Poll for the last three weeks, is expected to be the No. 1 team in Tuesday’s College Football Playoff rankings. The Ducks are expected to be joined by Ohio State, Penn State and Indiana in the CFP rankings come the end of Tuesday night.
The Buckeyes, who moved up to No. 3 in this week’s Coaches Poll, are the current betting favorites to win the College Football Playoff after their Week 10 win over then-No. 3 Penn State, according to BetMGM. Tuesday’s release of the College Football Playoff rankings is the first of six to come leading up to the final rankings on Sunday, Dec. 8.
