The Cricket Association of Nepal organized a farewell program in Kathmandu to bid goodbye to the Nepal U19 Women’s Team, marking their historic participation in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup. The event conveyed best wishes to the young players.
The mega event is scheduled to take place in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, with the team set to depart on Saturday.
Nepal is placed in Group D of the tournament alongside Bangladesh, Scotland, and Australia. They will kick off their campaign with a match against Bangladesh on January 18, followed by games against Scotland on January 20 and Australia on January 22.
Ahead of the tournament, Nepal will play two warm-up matches against the USA on January 13 and the West Indies on January 15.
Nepal qualified for the World Cup for the first time after a dramatic turnaround in the Asia Qualifiers. They also participated in the ACC U19 Women’s Asia Cup.
