Brazil Futsal World Champion
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Oct. 7 (PL) – Brazil won its sixth world futsal crown with a 2-1 victory over Argentina in the final of the Uzbekistan 2024 World Cup.
The Auriverdes scored their first two goals through Carlos Vagner Gularte “Ferrao” at minute six and Rafael dos Santos (13), a sufficient advantage that they knew how to manage to conquer the scepter, in the Humo Arena of this capital.
With shots from long and medium distance, combinations and quick counterattacks, the Albicelestes shortened the difference thanks to a goal by Matías Rosa (80).
In the final stretch, the Canarinha, who had not won since the 2012 World Cup in Thailand, closed the spaces well and relied on the reflexes and timely interventions of their goalkeeper William to regain the title.
In the match for third place, Ukraine defeated France 7-1, with three goals from Danyil Abakshyn.
