MT. AIRY, Ga. — East Hall finished the season on a high note, knocking Region 8-6A champion Habersham Central 2-0 on the road Friday.
The Vikings missed the Class 4A playoffs but finished the season 11-5 overall and posted an undefeated non-region record.
On Friday, Jonathan Torres got the Vikings on the board when he struck early with the only goal in the first half in the 4th minute off an assist from Ainor Romero-Turcios.
In the second half, neither team found the net until the 70th minute. Orlin Yanes chipped the goalkeeper to push the lead to 2-0 with 10 minutes remaining.
