Hall and Lawrence celebrate after their run
Brad Hall and Taylor Lawrence secured Britain's first Bobsleigh World Cup podium of the season with silver in the second of two two-man races in Sigulda, Latvia.
Hall and Greg Cackett were in second place after the first run, 0.05 seconds behind Germany's experienced Johannes Lochner and his new brakeman Jorn Wenzel.
Lawrence came in for the second run in place of Cackett and the British duo put in another strong run to finish in a combined time of one minute 39.45 seconds.
But the Germans responded to finish 0.21 seconds clear of the Britons and give Lochner his 80th career World Cup podium with the other German pair of Francesco Friedrich and Alexander Schuller third.
Hall had finished fourth with Greg Cackett in Saturday's first race.
