Washington is already preparing for a lot of changes from the past season. A new team — with lots of new faces — a new coaching staff and a new conference await the Huskies next season.
They’re also getting a new schedule.
The Big Ten and FOX Sports announced Washington’s games against Rutgers and UCLA will both be played on Fridays. The Huskies will now play the Scarlet Knights on Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. for their first Big Ten road trip. UW is scheduled to host UCLA on Nov. 15, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
When the conference initially released its 2024 schedule in November, it stated select games were going to be moved to Fridays.
Washington’s trip to Piscataway, N.J., to play Rutgers will be its first Big Ten road game. UW opens its conference schedule by welcoming Northwestern to Husky Stadium on Sept. 21, one week earlier.
UW hosts UCLA one week before the end of the regular season for its final home game of 2024. Washington plays Oregon on Nov. 30 at Autzen Stadium to complete its first campaign in the Big Ten.
The Huskies open their season on Aug. 31 when Washington hosts Weber State for coach Jedd Fisch’s debut. UW faces a College Football Playoff championship game rematch with Michigan at Husky Stadium on Oct. 5 and travels to Penn State to face the Nittany Lions on Nov. 9.
