Greene County High School graduate senior Nathan Behne has received yet another soccer honor. Already a second team All-State selection in Class 2A by at least two sources, he’s been named to the East/West Senior Showcase this Saturday at 3 p.m. at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines. The event is sponsored by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association and features seniors from throughout the state in all classes of competition.
Behne scored 20 goals and had 29 assists his senior season after missing his junior soccer campaign following knee surgery. He’s also a football All-State kicker who signed a Letter of Intent to kick for Upper Iowa University in Fayette, an NCAA DII program. Behne also was class Valedictorian and has garnered several other honors athletically and academically.
