A total of 73 newcomers have been added to the Army football roster for the 2024 season.
Forty-six of the freshmen played for the U.S. Military Academy Prep School football team and 27 are direct admits from high school.
“We are thrilled to welcome the next generation of leaders into the Army football Brotherhood,’’ said head coach Jeff Monken, who is entering his 11th season at West Point. “The Class of 2028 will contribute to our program’s success this fall and in seasons to come. This is a talented group of athletes who are outstanding students and young leaders that are committed to serving our nation as Army officers.’’
The newcomers hail from 28 different states – there are none from New York state, and nine hail from Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas.
“Our coaching staff did an exceptional job recruiting young men of high character from across the nation,’’ Monken said.
