FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football has the opportunity to play spoiler today against one of its oldest rivals and clinch bowl eligibility in the process.
The Razorbacks (5-4, 3-3 SEC) host No. 3 Texas (8-1, 4-1) Saturday in a matchup between two longtime foes from the Southwest Conference. This will mark the rivalry’s first game with both programs in the SEC.
Before its most recent bye week, Arkansas was on the wrong end of a 63-31 blowout loss to Ole Miss. It was the worst defensive performance of the season, and the Hogs lost Taylen Green to injury, but the quarterback and Dallis native will return this week to face Texas.
The Longhorns are coming off a 49-17 win over Florida and are closing in on a spot in the College Football Playoff. Texas is also trying to reach the SEC Championship game in its first season in the league, and the Longhorns control their destiny to reach Atlanta.
Below are live score updates, highlights and analysis from Arkansas football’s home game against Texas.
This will be updated after kickoff.
