FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football defensive end Nico Davillier will undergo knee surgery Monday afternoon and miss the regular-season finale against Missouri, head coach Sam Pittman announced at his Monday press conference.
Davillier could also miss the Razorbacks‘ (6-5) eventual bowl game. Pittman said it’s still undetermined how long Davillier will be out, but the Hogs hope to have clearer information after the surgery.
“They can never tell you whether it’s repairable or whether they trim it. They’re repairing more cartilages than what they used to,” Pittman said.
“(Davillier’s) going to have his surgery (Monday) afternoon, and we really won’t know whether it’s a trim, which could get him back for the bowl game, or if it’s a repair, which is about a five-month full recovery.”

Davillier began the season as the starter, but has consistently rotated reps with Anton Juncaj. Davillier has one sack and 23 tackles on the season.
Juncaj has started during each of his last two appearances, but he has missed the last two games with a knee injury. He has 14 tackles and doesn’t have a sack after recording 15 last season with Albany.
Pittman also said Jaylon Braxton will be out this week against Missouri, missing his 10th consecutive game.
