Tulsa World Sports Show: Union quarterback Shaker Reisig announced Tuesday on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he has committed to Boston College. That announcement came a day after he decommitted from Utah, where he had been committed to since February.
Union cornerback Ashton Cunningham committed to Boston College on Wednesday — about 24 hours after quarterback teammate Shaker Reisig also announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he was going to play for the Eagles.
Cunningham, who has nine major college offers and visited Boston College last weekend, had 23 tackles and six pass deflections last season. He also has shown a knack for Union and in 2022 with Jenks for blocking kicks.
Cunningham was on the Class 6A winning 400-relay team last month, and added a silver in the 200 and a bronze in the 100.
In 2025, Reisig and Cunningham will be playing for new BC head coach Bill O’Brien, who was a head coach at Penn State in 2012-13 and in the NFL with the Houston Texans in 2014-20.
Verbal commitments are not binding. Football’s early signing period opens Dec. 4.
